How the LoL tier list is built
These tiers come from real ranked games on the current patch. Each champion is graded on how it performs across the ladder, weighing how often it wins against how contested it is, and the strongest band sits at the top. A champion climbs when the results back it up and slides when they stop.
Reading the board for your rank
Rank changes which champions rise. A pick that stomps in low elo can fall off once players learn to answer it, and a few high-skill champions pay off mostly in the higher brackets. Read the board for your own bracket, since a global tier can hide how a pick really does in the games you play.
From the board to builds and counters
A tier tells you what to pick, not how to make it work. Once you have a champion in mind, the LoL builds cover the runes and item paths that got it there, and the LoL counters show which lanes to dodge and which to target. Read the tier and the build side by side, then check who your pick struggles into.
