Cliffs drop along the long riverside road south of Violet. It is the first real trek down toward Union Cave and Azalea.
Route 32 is in Johto, with Violet City to the north and Union Cave to the south. In the story it comes after Sprout Tower and continues north to Ruins of Alph.

ITEMS
The first Heart Scale turns up here, the currency the Move Reminder takes to recall a forgotten move. The Old Rod starts your fishing, and a Shell Bell, a Miracle Seed, and TM09 Bullet Seed reward exploring the long route.

TRAINERS
A long descent toward Union Cave with eight trainers strung along it, Fishermen casting Magikarp and Poliwag into your path. Levels stay around fifteen, so the main drain is on your PP, not your HP.
