Tier placements from our own research and play

The tier letters used across these classic pages come from the LoL Classic tier list, where we explain how each champion was graded.

What the classic ruleset brings back

Every build here assumes the old ruleset: a thirty-point mastery page, the classic rune setup, and the original item shop, with champion kits from before their reworks. That is why a loadout can look nothing like its modern version. When a champion reads strangely, it is usually a pre-rework ability or a retired item doing the work.

Finding your way around the classic pages

Each page rebuilds a different slice of the old game. The classic build pages carry the rune page and mastery split a champion ran, and the item pages hold the retired shop with its projected gold costs. The classic tier list orders the roster by our own ranking, and the counter pages stick to champion, role and that same tier.
