HeartGold & SoulSilver Burned Tower

Charred and half-collapsed, the old tower leans beside the Bell Tower in Ecruteak. Drop into its basement and the three legendary beasts scatter, Suicune pausing to study you before it bolts.

Burned Tower is in Johto. In the story you arrive from Ecruteak City to the south and it comes before Route 38.

BURNED TOWER MAP

The Burned Tower is just two floors, its scorched upper floor pocked with weak boards that send you straight down to the cellar when they break.

Burned Tower Guide

  • You first meet the three legendary beasts as still sprites in the basement of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City, where they startle and bolt. For the two roamers, Raikou and Entei, that flee is when their IVs and nature lock in, so soft-resetting for their stats is anchored here even though you catch them later out on the roads. Suicune is different: it is not a roamer but moves along a scripted path, so its IVs and nature are set at its own catch, the Level 40 battle at the end of Route 25, rather than at the Burned Tower flee. Defeat any of them and it returns the next time you clear the Elite Four.
