HeartGold & SoulSilver Union Cave

The flooded basement of this Azalea-to-Alph passage holds Johto's one dependable Lapras, though it surfaces only on Fridays, so trainers time the trip to the day.

Union Cave is in Johto, with Route 32 to the north. In the story it comes after Ruins of Alph and continues south to Route 33.

UNION CAVE MAP

Union Cave sinks three floors on the southward route, the top two an ordinary walk and only Surf reaching the flooded bottom.

Pokemon Encounters

Lapras appears deep in the cave on Friday only, a powerful once-a-week catch at level 20 that is well worth the wait. Onix and Geodude work the walls, Sandshrew adds a HeartGold-only digger, and the lower water holds Goldeen on the rods.
