HeartGold & SoulSilver Route 10
The road past the Kanto Power Plant runs the cliff edge down to the Rock Tunnel. Restart the dead generator and Zapdos drops into the scrub crackling just outside the fence.
Route 10 is in Kanto, with Route 9 to the west and the entrance to Power Plant. In the story you arrive from Lavender Town to the south and continue north to Rock Tunnel.

Route 10 Walkthrough
- Keep the search outside beside the building, since the pickup is on the route rather than indoors.
- If you explore the grass at night, Quagsire joins the encounter table; Spearow and Fearow occupy morning and daytime slots.
- While surfing here, you can meet Goldeen and Seaking.
Carbos- If Zapdos is present, handle its static encounter separately from the random Pokemon you find in grass or while surfing.
- Once you finish outside, head in through the Power Plant entrance for the next part of your visit.
Pokemon Encounters
Zapdos guards the power-plant approach at level 50, a one-time Electric legendary worth a heavy ball. The grass runs Voltorb at 30 percent and an Electabuzz for more Electric options, while Spearow and a little rod fishing fill a thin wild list.
