HeartGold & SoulSilver Azalea Town
Kurt the old craftsman anchors this forest town, carving Poke Balls from the Apricorns you bring him. Bugsy's bug gym sits here too, with Ilex Forest closing off the road west.
Azalea Town is in Johto, with Ilex Forest to the west. In the story you arrive from Route 33 to the east and continue north to Slowpoke Well.

Pokemon Encounters
Azalea hands you nothing in the grass, so every catch comes from rattling the town trees with Headbutt. Heracross at 30 percent is the standout grab this early, a Bug and Fighting bruiser, while Aipom and Spearow fill the lower branches.
