HeartGold & SoulSilver Route 40
Olivine's southern sea lane runs toward Cianwood. Partway over, the Frontier Access branches off to the new six-building Battle Frontier.

On Route 40, you can search underneath the visible machine pickup; check the separate Sharp Beak handoff before taking to the water.
- If the gift giver is present, speak to them for the Sharp Beak before starting the water crossing.
- Swimmers Simon, Paula and Randall share the route with Elaine; Simon brings Tentacool, while Randall adds Wartortle to his Shellder team.
