HeartGold & SoulSilver Route 48
River bridges and a strip of tall grass carry Route 48 from Cliff Cave up to Baoba's new preserve.
Route 48 is in Johto, with Route 47 to the south. In the story it comes after Cliff Cave and continues north to Safari Zone Gate.

You enter Route 48 from Route 47; use the tall grass to locate the pickup detour before continuing north.
Nugget
- Take the Nugget from the dead end west of the tall grass, then retrace the detour.
- If you pause in the grass, keep the version split in mind: Growlithe appears in HeartGold, while SoulSilver has Vulpix.
- After the detour and any catching, head north into Safari Zone Gate.
