Route 120 Guide

  • That's a Kecleon, invisible until you reveal it with the Devon Scope you find on this route. Use the Scope to expose it, then battle or catch it at level 30 to clear the bridge. More hide on nearby Route 119.

  • Registeel hides in the Ancient Tomb tucked beside Route 120, behind a door that only opens once the underwater Sealed Chamber is finished. It turns up at Lv. 40 when you step in. A pure Steel type, it shrugs off most hits but folds to Fire, Fighting, and Ground.

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
