Emerald Route 106

The choppy channel running out to Dewford Town and the mouth of Granite Cave, with fishermen and water Pokemon filling the gap between you and the island.

Route 106 is in Hoenn, with Granite Cave to the north. In the story you arrive from Route 105 to the north and continue south to Dewford Town.

Route 106 Guide

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
