Emerald Route 105
Rocky islets freckle the water south of Rustboro, and one of them isn't what it seems. Tucked inside the Island Cave, the legendary Regice sleeps behind a wall of Braille.
Route 105 is in Hoenn, with Route 104 to the north and Island Cave to the north. In the story it comes after Rusturf Tunnel and continues south to Route 106.

Pokemon Encounters
The open water off Route 105 is plain Wailmer and Tentacool, but its sealed Island Cave hides Regice behind a braille puzzle. The titan waits at level 40 for one attempt, so heal and save first.

Route 105 Guide
Surf out to the lonely Island Cave sitting off Route 105, the only one of the three golems hidden out at sea. Its door won't open until you crack the Braille puzzle in the Sealed Chamber underwater. Inside, Regice waits at Lv. 40, and Fire or Fighting moves cut through it fastest.
No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.
You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
