Emerald Route 119

A rain-soaked jungle route of thick brush and a wide river. It's the only place in Hoenn to find Feebas, tucked on a few secret tiles, with the Weather Institute the teams raid at its north end.

Route 119 is in Hoenn, with Fortree City to the east. In the story you arrive from Route 118 to the south and continue north to Weather Institute.

ROUTE 119 MAP

Route 119 breaks into steps up its rainy length, where the Acro Bike hops the white rails that climb between them. Surf carries the river stretches, with the Weather Institute marking the halfway point.

Route 119 Guide

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
