Emerald Route 107
The wide swim from Dewford back toward the mainland, nothing but waves the whole way. It's the first real test of how far your Pokemon can carry you on Surf.
Route 107 is in Hoenn, with Dewford Town to the west. In the story it comes after Granite Cave and continues east to Route 108.

No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.
You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
