Emerald Route 128

Calm water on the surface, but plunge below Route 128 with Dive and you drop straight into the Seafloor Cavern, the team's sunken base.

Route 128 is in Hoenn, with Ever Grande City to the east and Route 129 to the south. In the story you arrive from Route 127 to the north and continue north to Seafloor Cavern.

Route 128 Guide

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
