An easy walk to your first rival battle, Route 103 repeats the Zigzagoon and Poochyena of Route 101 with Wingull added near the shore. Sharpedo on the Super Rod is the only catch with teeth.

Route 103 Guide

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
