How to Get Shiny Omastar in Emerald

Omastar Weakness
Omastar's Rock/Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Grass, Electric, Fighting, and Ground. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Omastar's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Grass |
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Fighting, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Ice, Poison, Flying |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Fire |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move

E Omastar Best Moveset
Omastar anchors rain teams as a special attacker, with AbilitySwift Swim doubling Speed while rain-boosted MoveSurf fires from 115 Sp. Atk at devastating power. The moveset adds MoveIce Beam for Grass-types that resist Water and MoveRock Slide from the physical side. The 4x Grass weakness means any Grass move, even resisted ones from off-type attackers, threatens a knockout.
