Dugtrio Emerald Guide
Dugtrio isn't catchable in Emerald. Catch one in FireRed or LeafGreen, then trade it to Emerald.
In Emerald, Dugtrio is one of the stronger picks around. It rates S-Tier for this generation, and the Ground typing with 405 BST covers a lot of matchups.
Dugtrio has an Alolan form that swaps the typing and reshuffles the stats. Introduced in Gen 7. Worth checking if the original version doesn't fit your team.
In Emerald, use Dugtrio as a pivot. Physical side carries the damage. It outspeeds most threats, Earthquake is the primary attack.
For Emerald, run Jolly on Dugtrio. +Speed is what matters, and the -Sp. Atk cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the pivot role.
Game Availability
Dugtrio first appeared in Red & Blue and spans 20 games across 9 generations. It later gained an Alolan form in Generation 7, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
