Emerald Route 113

Volcanic ash drifts down across this whole route from Mt. Chimney nearby. Grab a Soot Sack and you can scoop the ash off the ground to trade for glass trinkets at the Glass Workshop right here on the route.

Route 113 is in Hoenn, with Route 111 to the east. In the story it comes after Fiery Path and continues west to Fallarbor Town.

Skarmory glide in at just 5% in the volcanic ash, a bulky Steel-Flying flier that repays the patience. Spinda hold 70% with their one-of-a-kind spot patterns, and Slugma simmer in the warm ground.

Route 113 Guide

  • No, and losing that split is a real perk. On one Emerald cartridge you can raise both Zangoose and Seviper, both halves of every version pair, with nothing to trade and no version column to check. A few species that skipped Ruby and Sapphire show up here too.

  • You'll want all of them. The three rods pull different fished species as you trade up from Old to Good to Super, Surf opens the surface water where Wingull and Sharpedo swim, and Dive reaches the underwater seaweed on Routes 124 to 126 where Clamperl and Relicanth live. Dive comes from the Mossdeep gym.
