How to Get Celebi in Emerald
Celebi appears in no forest in Emerald. The time-travel Pokemon came strictly from special distributions like the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disc, all long discontinued, so a legit Celebi now means trading one in.
Celebi is not available as a wild encounter in this game.
Also Obtainable In:
Pokemon transfers only go forward through generations, never backward. Direct cross-gen trades aren't supported.
How to Get Shiny Celebi in Emerald
Celebi shows on no Emerald route, so a shiny has to ride in from a Generation 3 game that offers it, already sparkling the moment it lands in your party after the trade. See every game where Shiny Celebi can be hunted
Shiny Celebi Evolution
Does Not EvolveCelebi Weakness
Celebi's Psychic/Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Celebi's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Bug |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move

Moves List
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Celebi's coverage across 7 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Future Sight and Solar Beam for same-type damage. Future Sight and Hyper Beam are the payoff moves.

Celebi Emerald Guide
In Emerald, use Celebi as a sweeper. Special attacks are the main output. It outspeeds most threats, Psychic is the primary attack.
For Emerald, run Bold on Celebi. +Defense is what matters, and the -Attack cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the sweeper role.
Game Availability
Introduced in Gold & Silver, Celebi shows up in 16 games across 8 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
