How to Get Shiny Celebi in Diamond & Pearl
Celebi cannot be obtained in Diamond or Pearl at all, so a shiny one has to be brought in from a game that offers it. See every game where Shiny Celebi can be hunted
Shiny Celebi Evolution
Does Not EvolveCelebi Weakness
Celebi's Psychic/Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Celebi's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Bug |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Moves List
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Celebi's coverage across 8 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Leaf Storm and Future Sight for same-type damage. Future Sight and Leaf Storm are the payoff moves.
