Diamond & Pearl Eterna Forest
You don't cross Eterna Forest alone: the timid trainer Cheryl teams up with you, healing between a run of double battles. The abandoned Old Chateau broods at the forest's far edge.
Eterna Forest is in Sinnoh, with Old Chateau to the north and Route 205 to the south. In the story it comes after Floaroma Meadow and before Eterna City.
ETERNA FOREST MAP
Eterna Forest sits between the two stretches of Route 205, a leafy detour you pass through rather than around. Cut opens a few side nooks, but the path to the far exit needs no HM.
Pokemon Encounters
The forest floor is a bug glut, Wurmple and the Silcoon and Cascoon cocoons thick in the grass beside Buneary and Budew. Honey on the trees here is your shot at Munchlax at 1 percent, with Heracross and Aipom alongside. Murkrow haunts the Diamond grass while Misdreavus takes its place in Pearl.

Eterna Forest Guide
Cheryl partners with you the whole way through Eterna Forest, turning wild encounters into Double Battles and healing your party after every fight before she leaves at the north exit. This is also the only place in Sinnoh to catch Buneary, but the Double Battles complicate it: a Buneary usually appears beside a second wild Pokemon, often a Budew, and you must knock that other one out before you can throw a Poke Ball. Watch that Cheryl's Chansey does not faint your Buneary first.
