Why does Drifloon only show up at Valley Windworks on Fridays in Diamond and Pearl?

Valley Windworks off Route 205 is the only spot to find Drifloon, and it appears in front of the building only on Fridays by the DS internal clock. You first have to finish the Team Galactic event here, which means grabbing the Works Key from Floaroma Meadow and beating Commander Mars. One Level 22 Drifloon shows up each Friday, and not on the same day you beat Mars, so set your clock and come back.

Diamond & Pearl Valley Windworks

Turbines spin day and night at the Valley Windworks outside Floaroma. Commander Mars seizes the station early in the story. Every Friday the balloon Pokemon Drifloon drifts up to its doors.

Valley Windworks is in Sinnoh. In the story you arrive from Route 205 to the west and it comes before Floaroma Meadow.
