Diamond & Pearl Route 218

Route 218 starts on land and ends in open sea between Jubilife and Canalave, so you'll need Surf to finish the crossing.

Route 218 is in Sinnoh, with Jubilife City to the east. In the story it comes after Route 221 and continues north to Canalave City.

Route 218 is mostly open water with a thin strip of land at one end, so Surf carries you across the gap between Jubilife and Canalave.

Pokemon Encounters

A short crossing toward Canalave, this route splits its grass by version, Mr. Mime for Diamond and Glameow for Pearl. Ditto hide on the Pokeradar, and Gastrodon patrol the water already evolved.
