How to Get Arceus in Diamond & Pearl
Arceus waits at the Hall of Origin, reachable only by a player holding the Azure Flute. That flute was an event item never released to the public, so this one stays out of legitimate reach entirely.

How to Get Shiny Arceus in Diamond & Pearl
Arceus needs the Azure Flute event that was never released, so a legitimate shiny simply cannot be obtained in Diamond or Pearl. See every game where Shiny Arceus can be hunted

Does Not EvolveArceus Weakness
Fighting moves hit Arceus for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Arceus's overall bulk (120/120/120) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Arceus Diamond & Pearl Guide
Arceus is a static encounter at Hall Of Origin in Diamond & Pearl. Arceus appears at level 80. Prerequisite: Event only: the Azure Flute came only from a Mystery Gift event, and the Hall of Origin cannot be reached without it. Save before the encounter. These one-shot Pokemon don't respawn if you knock them out or run out of Poke Balls.
For Diamond & Pearl, build your team around Arceus, Arceus Ghost, and Arceus Poison. These have the highest co-usage rates with Arceus in competitive formats. They cover each other's weaknesses.
In Diamond & Pearl, use Arceus as a sweeper. Physical side carries the damage. It outspeeds most threats,
For Diamond & Pearl, run Adamant on Arceus. +Attack is what matters, and the -Sp. Atk cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the sweeper role.
Game Availability
Arceus first appeared in Diamond & Pearl and has been available in 12 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
