Diamond & Pearl Victory Road
Victory Road is the final cave gauntlet before the Pokemon League, a dark maze of strong wild Pokemon. Barry catches you for one last battle inside before the Plateau steps.
Victory Road is in Sinnoh, with Route 224 to the east and Route 223 to the south. In the story you arrive from Pokémon League to the north and it comes before Fight Area.
VICTORY ROAD MAP
Three levels deep, the last cave before the League gates the exit behind a stack of moves: Strength, Rock Smash, Surf, and a Waterfall climb all see use before you are out. Rock Climb only matters for a post-game side path.
Pokemon Encounters
Sinnoh runs its final gauntlet here, and it doubles as one of the best catch spots in the region. Wild Lapras surface on the inner water at 10 percent, a free Ice and Water heavyweight, while Steelix, Medicham, and Machoke prowl the floors. Golbat own the surf at 100 percent if you are still short a Crobat.
