How to Get Jolteon in Emerald
Catching a wild Jolteon is impossible in Emerald. Take an imported Eevee and use a Thunder Stone to spark the change. That same fox could just as easily become any of its siblings.

How to Get Shiny Jolteon in Emerald
Jolteon has no route in Hoenn; carry a shiny Eevee over from a Generation 3 game and touch it with a Thunder Stone, or transfer a finished Jolteon whose sparkle survives the link. See every game where Shiny Jolteon can be hunted
Jolteon Weakness
Jolteon's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Volt Absorb grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Jolteon's special bulk (base 95 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Electric, Flying, Steel |

Jolteon Emerald Guide
In Emerald, use Jolteon as a sweeper. Special attacks are the main output. It outspeeds most threats, Thunderbolt is the primary attack.
For Emerald, run Timid on Jolteon. +Speed is what matters, and the -Attack cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the sweeper role.
Jolteon isn't catchable in Emerald. Obtain one in FireRed or LeafGreen, then trade it to Emerald.
