Ruby & Sapphire Route 130

What's usually missing makes this deep-water route famous: the rare Mirage Island, which surfaces off these waves only on days when a Pokemon in your party matches that day's hidden value.

Route 130 is in Hoenn, with Route 131 to the west. In the story you arrive from Route 129 to the east and continue north to Mirage Island.

Pokemon Encounters

Route 130 is where Mirage Island flickers into view on the rare day a party Pokemon matches the daily hidden value, but the everyday water is plain Tentacool, Wingull, and Sharpedo on the rod.

Route 130 Guide

  • Several routes do. Ruby drops Seedot and Zangoose into slots where Sapphire gives you Lotad and Seviper, and the caves split Mawile against Sableye. Check the version column before you spend an hour hunting something your copy can't catch. The rest of the species are shared.

  • Reach for the Super Rod on most routes, but two of Hoenn's prize catches ignore rods altogether. Feebas only bites on six hidden tiles of Route 119, and Relicanth comes from diving the seaweed off Routes 124 and 126, not from any rod. For the rest, the Super Rod pulls the deep-water species the Old and Good Rods can't reach.
