Ruby & Sapphire Ever Grande City

Past the last sea route, Ever Grande is more cliffside wilderness than city. Victory Road bores through the rock to the Pokemon League, where the Elite Four and Champion Steven wait.

Ever Grande City is in Hoenn, with Route 128 to the west. In the story you arrive from Victory Road to the north and it comes before Battle Tower.

Ever Grande stacks the whole endgame into one climb: the Elite Four of Sidney, Phoebe, Glacia, and Drake from level 49 upward, then Champion Steven and his Steel and Rock team at 58. Steven's Metagross is the wall, so pack Fighting, Ground, and Fire. Stock up before the first door, because there is no way out until you win or lose.

Ever Grande City Guide

  • Most cities have a Contest Hall, a Pokemon Center with a trade corner upstairs, and a Mart. Slateport runs an open-air market, and Lilycove has the region's only Department Store plus a second Contest venue. Pokemon Centers heal you for free between gym attempts.

  • Not in the cities. You make one out on the routes by using the Secret Power move on a marked tree, bush, or cave wall. After that you furnish it with decorations sold in Lilycove and Slateport, and linked friends can drop by to see it.
