Ruby & Sapphire Route 134

Diving the roughest current here leads to the Sealed Chamber, the Braille puzzle whose riddle unlocks all three legendary golem tombs.

Route 134 is in Hoenn, with Slateport City to the west. In the story you arrive from Route 133 to the east and continue north to Sealed Chamber.

ROUTE 134 MAP

Hard western currents shove your Surfing off course on Route 134, so reaching its corners means fighting the flow toward the Dive spot that drops to the Sealed Chamber.

Pokemon Encounters

The currents run hard here, and Horsea on the Super Rod makes this the third route in a row to offer the Kingdra line. Tentacool, Wingull and Pelipper cover the surface above the underwater chamber, while Sharpedo bites only on the Super Rod.

TRAINERS

Route 134's hard currents carry Swimmers and a lone Dragon Tamer into the mid 30s, and an Ice move puts the dragon down quickly. It is the toughest of the sea routes feeding the Sealed Chamber.

Route 134 Guide

  • Several routes do. Ruby drops Seedot and Zangoose into slots where Sapphire gives you Lotad and Seviper, and the caves split Mawile against Sableye. Check the version column before you spend an hour hunting something your copy can't catch. The rest of the species are shared.

  • Reach for the Super Rod on most routes, but two of Hoenn's prize catches ignore rods altogether. Feebas only bites on six hidden tiles of Route 119, and Relicanth comes from diving the seaweed off Routes 124 and 126, not from any rod. For the rest, the Super Rod pulls the deep-water species the Old and Good Rods can't reach.
