Ruby & Sapphire Route 122

Just south of Route 121, a narrow channel of sea ferries you out to the lonely island of Mt. Pyre.

Route 122 is in Hoenn, with Route 121 to the north and Route 123 to the south. In the story it comes after Safari Zone and continues north to Mt. Pyre.

Sharpedo bites the Super Rod at a strong 40 percent in the short stretch of water below Mt. Pyre, the best reason to cast here before the climb.

Route 122 Guide

  • Several routes do. Ruby drops Seedot and Zangoose into slots where Sapphire gives you Lotad and Seviper, and the caves split Mawile against Sableye. Check the version column before you spend an hour hunting something your copy can't catch. The rest of the species are shared.

  • Reach for the Super Rod on most routes, but two of Hoenn's prize catches ignore rods altogether. Feebas only bites on six hidden tiles of Route 119, and Relicanth comes from diving the seaweed off Routes 124 and 126, not from any rod. For the rest, the Super Rod pulls the deep-water species the Old and Good Rods can't reach.
