Ruby & Sapphire Meteor Falls
A towering cave of stacked waterfalls hides in Hoenn's west. Team Magma raids it in Ruby, Team Aqua in Sapphire, cornering Professor Cozmo and making off with his meteorite to power Mt. Chimney.
Meteor Falls is in Hoenn. In the story you arrive from Route 114 to the south and continue west to Route 115.
METEOR FALLS MAP
Only the front hall of Meteor Falls is reachable early, its deeper levels sealed behind a Surf across the inner pool and a Waterfall you scale later. Most players clear the back on a return trip.
Pokemon Encounters
Bagon at 25 percent is the headline, the patient grind toward a Salamence that pays off in the late game. Solrock (Ruby) or Lunatone (Sapphire) drifts through the cavern, Barboach and Whiscash bite the rods, and Golbat swarms the deeper halls.

TRAINERS
Meteor Falls is guarded by Hoenn's first Dragon Tamers, their teams climbing to level 40 deep in the cavern, an Ice move the obvious answer. An Old Couple battles together near the mouth, but the dragons inside are the real test.
Meteor Falls Guide
The deep section sits behind a waterfall, so you need HM07 Waterfall, which only comes near the end of Ruby and Sapphire. The front room opens mid-game when you interrupt the villain team stealing the Meteorite from Professor Cozmo. Return with a mid-30s team for the Bagon area.
Ruby has Solrock and Sapphire has Lunatone, both catchable by walking or surfing inside. They share the same Rock and Psychic typing and neither evolves. Wild Lunatone in Sapphire carries a Moon Stone about one time in twenty, so check what yours is holding once you catch it.
