Ruby & Sapphire Route 109
Mr. Briney's boat lands you on the wide beach below Slateport, and he waits there to sail you back to Dewford. The city market is a short walk north.
Route 109 is in Hoenn. In the story you arrive from Route 108 to the west and continue north to Slateport City.

- 2From the Soft Sand girl, go west past the beach chairs, then north past the umbrellas. Go through the door and down into the Seashore House.

Pokemon Encounters
Slateport's beach route hands you Tentacool, Wingull, and Wailmer off the rods and surf. There is no rare catch on the sand, just easy Water-types for an early team slot.

ITEMS
An item ball on Route 109 holds a PP Up, and a girl here gives you a Soft Sand for boosting Ground moves. Three Heart Scales and a Revive are hidden around the route, and Soda Pop from the Seashore House heals in a pinch.

TRAINERS
Slateport's beach is thirteen trainers deep in Tubers and Sailors up to level 27, with a Beauty for variety. Most of their teams lean on Water-types that fall fast to Grass or Electric, but the sheer number is the real grind.

Several routes do. Ruby drops Seedot and Zangoose into slots where Sapphire gives you Lotad and Seviper, and the caves split Mawile against Sableye. Check the version column before you spend an hour hunting something your copy can't catch. The rest of the species are shared.
Reach for the Super Rod on most routes, but two of Hoenn's prize catches ignore rods altogether. Feebas only bites on six hidden tiles of Route 119, and Relicanth comes from diving the seaweed off Routes 124 and 126, not from any rod. For the rest, the Super Rod pulls the deep-water species the Old and Good Rods can't reach.
