Slowbro Weakness
Slowbro is weak to Electric, Grass, and Bug. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. The Water/Psychic typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Slowbro's physical bulk (base 110 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Fighting, Psychic |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split

Y Slowbro Best Moveset
MoveAmnesia doubles the already-solid 100 Special, and 110 Defense absorbs physical hits while the stat climbs. MovePsychic hits from a type nothing resists, MoveSurf adds Water coverage, and MoveThunder Wave paralyzes what threatens the setup. Blocks both sides of the offensive spectrum after one boost.

Most of Slowbro's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Psychic and Surf, but Normal and Ice and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.
