Slowpoke Weakness
Slowpoke's Water/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, and Bug. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Slowpoke's physical bulk (base 65 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Fighting, Psychic |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split

Y Slowpoke Best Moveset
Water/Psychic typing on a frame too slow and too weak to use either type effectively. 65 Special can't power MovePsychic or MoveSurf at meaningful levels. Slowbro's 100 Special and 110 Defense are the real draws down the evolution line.
