Yellow Celadon City
A rich, colorful city home to Erika's Grass-type Gym, the towering Celadon Department Store, and the Rocket-run Game Corner.
Celadon City is in Kanto, with Route 16 to the west and the entrance to Celadon Gym. In the story you arrive from Route 7 to the east and continue through its entrance to Rocket Hideout.

Pokemon Encounters
Few places hand you this many rare Pokemon at once. The Game Corner prizes out Abra, Vulpix, Wigglytuff, Porygon, and both Scyther and Pinsir, while Eevee is a separate one-time gift up the hidden back stairs of the Celadon Mansion at level 25.

Celadon City Guide
Skip Jolteon and you'll thank yourself. Its Electric typing just doubles up on the Pikachu you're already stuck with, so Vaporeon or Flareon covers far more for your team. You evolve the free level 25 Eevee with a single Water, Thunder, or Fire Stone. Grab it upstairs in the Celadon Mansion.
For Porygon, yes. That rare Normal type is a pain to get anywhere else, and the prize counter trades it for a tall stack of coins. The same counter offers a level 30 Scyther or Pinsir and cheaper picks like Abra. Win coins at the slots or buy them from the seller if you'd rather not gamble.
Mostly just one. Lt. Surge is the leader Yellow retuned toward the anime, and his upgraded Raichu can stop an underprepared team cold. Brock and Misty play about the same as in Red and Blue. The difficulty isn't a steady climb, more a couple of spikes you can plan around once you know they're coming.
