Near the gates of Fuchsia City, Oak's aide rewards the Exp. Share to Trainers who have caught enough Pokemon.

  1. Before leaving Route 14, cut the small tree north of its exit lane and walk west onto the upper lane.
  2. Partway along, the Jr. Trainer spots you and sends out her lone Clefairy.
  3. Keep west to the end of the lane, pick up TM20 RageTMTM20 RageNormalClassPhysicalPower20Accuracy100%PP20Raises ATTACK if the user is hit.WhereOn Route 15, then hop down the ledge below it.

  2. Walk east through the lower field, where a Bird Keeper battles you, then face the Bird Keeper with Dodrio and two Doduo.
  3. Farther east, the Jr. Trainer with Gloom and two Oddish spots you, then a Biker battles you and you face the Biker beside him.
  4. At the east end a Beauty battles you, then step north past her, where the Jr. Trainer with Pidgey and Pidgeotto spots you.
  5. Return west along the walkway, step down to face the Beauty with Bulbasaur and Ivysaur, then enter the gatehouse.

Route 15 Guide

  • Trading is unavoidable. Yellow's wild tables quietly drop some Pokemon, and a few like Pikachu only come as gifts, never as wild catches. On top of that, evolutions like Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, and Gengar only finish over a link cable. You'll need a Red or Blue cart to round out the dex.

  • Cut and Surf open the most ground. Cut clears the small trees blocking shortcuts, and the S.S. Anne's captain teaches it. Surf carries you across the water routes like 19 and 20. Strength comes later for boulder puzzles in caves. Spread these onto a party member you don't mind using as your traveler.
