Yellow Farfetch'd Locations
Farfetch'd is a rare bird at just two routes, levels 26 to 31. There's no easy way to it: the wild encounter is thin and there's no pre-evolution to grind up instead.

Farfetch'd Weakness
Farfetch'd's Normal/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Ice, and Rock. It shrugs off Ground and Ghost-type attacks completely.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground, Ghost |
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split

How to Evolve
Y Farfetch'd Best Moveset
No stat above 65, no move that matters, and Normal/Flying typing that adds nothing to either problem. MoveSlash crits occasionally from the Speed-based formula but the base damage is too low for the crits to mean anything. Completely outclassed by Dodrio, Fearow, and nearly everything else.

Moves List
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Farfetch'd's limited coverage all comes from technical machines, built on top of Skull Bash and Double-Edge for same-type damage. Double-Edge and Fly are the payoff moves.

Farfetch'd Yellow Guide
In Yellow, Farfetch'd has niche appeal at best. The E-Tier rating means you're fighting uphill by mid-game. There are better Normal/Flying Pokemon available.
Farfetch'd has a Galarian form that swaps the typing and reshuffles the stats. Introduced in Gen 8. Worth checking if the original version doesn't fit your team.
In Yellow, use Farfetch'd as a balanced. Physical side carries the damage. Not the fastest, Slash is the primary attack. Set up with Agility when you get a free turn.
Game Availability
Available since Red & Blue, Farfetch'd appears in 20 games spanning 9 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Galarian form in Generation 8.
