Is Weedle Good in Emerald Playthrough?
Another trade-only Bug that Emerald doesn't need. Weedle evolves fast through AbilityShield Dust and AbilityShed Skin stages into Beedrill. Neither Bug nor Poison typing threatens the boss lineup. Dustox is already there.

Weedle Evolutions
Three stages ahead. Weedle grows into Kakuna, then pushes on to Beedrill. Check the evolution methods below. For breeding, quick to hatch with a decent partner pool via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 200 total stats over Weedle. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
E Weedle Best Moveset
Bug/Poison pre-evolution. AbilityShield Dust blocks secondary effects on incoming moves, which is the one useful trait here. Poison Sting barely scratches targets, and Beedrill two evolutions away is the earliest this line does anything.

Moves List
Not a lot to pick from. Weedle gets Poison Sting for same-type damage, and limited coverage rounds things out. You're building around what's available rather than choosing from a deep bench.
