Is Parasect Good in Emerald Playthrough?
Bug/Grass with AbilityEffect Spore for random status on contact. Parasect takes 4x damage from both Fire and Flying, which means Flannery and Winona both crush it. The random status gimmick doesn't compensate for the typing holes. Breloom does this job and survives.

Parasect Weakness
Parasect's Bug/Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, Bug, and Rock. Fire and Flying hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The Bug/Grass typing picks up 5 resistances to work with.
| Damage | Types |

Parasect Evolutions
Parasect is what Paras becomes. Breed it for Paras eggs (average hatch time). A decent partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs take an average time to hatch. The evolution from Paras pushed Parasect to 405 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +25. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Parasect to get Paras eggs easily using 37 partners from the Bug and Grass egg groups. Notable egg moves include Counter, False Swipe, Flail and 5 more.
E Parasect Best Moveset
Guaranteed sleep through MoveSpore at 100%% accuracy is the single defining move. AbilityEffect Spore piles on random status through contact. 95 Attack fires physical Bug TermStab, but 30 Speed goes last against everything and 4x Fire exposure means one Fire move removes Parasect instantly. The moveset is Spore and nothing else.

Moves List
The natural movepool does the job, but Counter and False Swipe from the egg pool give Parasect something extra. Pair those with Solar Beam and Leech Life for STAB and coverage across 7 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

PARASECT are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. When an infested tree dies, they move onto another tree all at once.
Parasect Emerald Guide
Parasect isn't catchable in Emerald. Catch one in FireRed or LeafGreen, then trade it to Emerald.
Honestly, in Emerald Parasect is a tough sell. It rates just E-Tier, and stronger Bug/Grass options exist. Fun pick, not a practical one.
In Emerald, use Parasect as a trick room. Splits damage between physical and special. It's slow, so Trick Room or priority moves are key.
For Emerald, run Sassy on Parasect. +Sp. Def is what matters, and the -Speed cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the trick room role.
