Jumpluff Weakness

Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock moves hit Jumpluff for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

E Jumpluff Best Moveset

Jumpluff controls the battlefield through pure speed, with 110 Speed before AbilityChlorophyll doubles it in sun. The moveset fires MoveSleep Powder before anything can respond, follows with MoveLeech Seed for passive damage, and uses MoveEncore to lock opponents into setup moves. Zero offensive power means Jumpluff disrupts rather than damages.

Jumpluff Emerald Guide

  • In Emerald, use Jumpluff as a pivot. Splits damage between physical and special. It outspeeds most threats,

  • For Emerald, build your team around Swampert and Celebi. These have the highest co-usage rates with Jumpluff in competitive formats. They cover each other's weaknesses.

  • For Emerald, run Timid on Jumpluff. +Speed is what matters, and the -Attack cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the pivot role.

  • Jumpluff isn't catchable in Emerald. Obtain one in FireRed or LeafGreen, then trade it to Emerald.

Game Availability

Jumpluff first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 16 games across 8 generations. Obtainable through wild encounters in most titles where it appears.
