Parasect Best Moveset
MoveSpore at 100% sleep accuracy remains the competitive standout from the moveset. 95 Attack at 30 Speed on Bug/Grass with 4x Fire and Flying weaknesses means going last and dying to common coverage. Strong Style hits harder on the rare turns that survive long enough.
Bug/Grass was one of the worst type combos in Gen I (Red & Blue). 4x Flying weakness plus Fire, Ice, Poison, Rock. Spore was the only reason Parasect existed.

Base Stats
Nothing fancy in Parasect's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 3 Attack and Defense EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Parasect is controlled by a mushroom that has grown larger than its host’s body. The Pokémon scatters poisonous spores.
Parasect Guide
Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Aerodactyl (Flying), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Parasect. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Arcanine is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Bug, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Parasect won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
It depends on your team. Parasect at 405 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Bug/Grass coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
Parasect looks average on paper at 405 BST. But Dry Skin is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier trick room on our tier list.
Parasect gets Dry Skin, Effect Spore, and Damp. But Dry Skin is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Parasect is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
