ORAS Parasect Best Moveset
Bug/Grass with 4x Fire weakness and AbilityDry Skin making it 5x vulnerable to Fire attacks. 95 Attack fires physical TermStab from both types. MoveSpore puts targets to sleep at 100%% accuracy. The moveset has one niche in guaranteed sleep but the typing costs too much in a format full of Fire.

The natural movepool does the job, but Agility and Bug Bite from the egg pool give Parasect something extra. Pair those with Solar Beam and Energy Ball for STAB and coverage across 8 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Parasect is known to infest large trees en masse and drain nutrients from the lower trunk and roots. When an infested tree dies, they move onto another tree all at once.
Parasect Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Aerodactyl (Flying), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Parasect. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Arcanine is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Bug, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Parasect won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, it depends on your team. Parasect at 405 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Bug/Grass coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Parasect looks average on paper at 405 BST. But Dry Skin is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier support on our tier list. Xscissor with Life Orb is the standard set.
Parasect gets Dry Skin, Effect Spore, and Damp. But Dry Skin is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Parasect is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the support role.
