Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Volkner is a Gym Leader whose party consists of Electric Pokemon. This means Volkner is weak against Ground Pokemon, since in battle Volkner will use Raichu(Lv.46), Ambipom(Lv.47), Octillery(Lv.47), Luxray(Lv.49), in Pokemon BDSP.

How to find and battle Volkner in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Volkner is Sunyshore City's Gym Leader who uses Electric type Pokemon, and defeating him will give you the Beacon Badge, allowing you to use Waterfall from the Poketch.

  1. Go to Sunyshore City and go into the gym.
  2. From here go onto the right platform and rotate it until the two platforms to the left connect.
  3. Rotate them and go through the door.
  4. The platform with the blue button on the left- turn it until the platform above you connects with the ground.
  5. Go to the other blue button platform and continue rotating until you get to the next room.
  6. From here, step on the platform behind the trainer and rotate it until you can reach the platforms to the left.
  7. Go up the stairs and rotate the platforms until you reach Volkner.

Gym Leaders can be rematched after defeating the Elite Four, Champion Cynthia, and obtaining the National Pokedex. You can also challenge the Leaders once every day; their teams will be much stronger, sporting new Pokemon and higher levels. They are also fully EV and IV trained and require a bit of a strategy to deal with.
