Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Version Exclusives
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl each lock 37 Pokémon to one version, but most of them wait for the post-game: 11 in Brilliant Diamond and 12 in Shining Pearl can be had before the League, most of them from the Grand Underground. Each version also sends its own legendaries to Ramanas Park.
Every exclusive and where to catch it
Each row sets a Brilliant Diamond exclusive beside its usual Shining Pearl counterpart. Every stage lists where you get it, marks the Grand Underground hideaways where it is a Rare Spawn, and shows the first badge the game needs before you can.

When each version’s exclusives show up
The first badge each Pokémon needs: the badge that opens the road, lets a field move work outside battle, or comes before the place that holds the item. Exclusive lines before the League: Brilliant Diamond 7, Shining Pearl 7.
Exclusives against every boss
For each battle, these are the exclusives you can have by then that hit at least half the boss’s team super effectively with one of their own types. Level and stone evolutions count up to the boss’s highest level, Grand Underground Rare Spawns count from the first badge because they need no story progress, trade evolutions don’t count, and Levitate is factored in.
Under each boss Pokémon:BDat least one Brilliant Diamond exclusive listed for that battle hits it super effectivelySPat least one Shining Pearl exclusive listed for that battle hits it super effectively–no exclusive listed for that version hits it
Counts use each exclusive’s own types, not its full moveset. The battle pages have the movesets.

Ramanas Park opens once your Sinnoh Pokédex is complete. Its other slates are the same in both versions: Discovery (Regirock, Regice and Registeel, sold first), Soul (Latias and Latios), Oceanic (Kyogre), Tectonic (Groudon), Stratospheric (Rayquaza), Genome (Mewtwo) and Distortion (Giratina).
Glameow, Stunky, Seel and Dewgong are exclusives, so they are on the board above. The others are not: both versions can still get them another way, such as Wurmple evolving into either cocoon, Walrein being wild in both, or Bonsly in the Trophy Garden.
Same in both: Gym leaders, their badges and the field move each badge lets you use; every in-game trade (Machop for Abra in Oreburgh City, Buizel for Chatot in Eterna City, Medicham for Haunter in Snowpoint City, Finneon for Magikarp on Route 226); the starters, Eevee from Bebe in Hearthome City and the Happiny and Riolu Eggs; the Grand Underground zones and the Mysterious Shard digs.
