Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 Version Exclusives

Black 2 and White 2 lock 28 Pokémon to Black 2 and 25 to White 2, but only five lines on each side can be caught before the League. The rest wait for the post-game: swarms, Hidden Grottoes, the Dreamyard’s Eon legendary, a Regi behind your version’s key, and the dragon whose stone you get from N. The box art splits too, with Black Kyurem on Black 2 and White Kyurem on White 2.

Every exclusive and where to catch it

Each row sets a Black 2 exclusive beside its usual White 2 counterpart. Every stage lists where you get it, marks swarms, Hidden Grottoes and shaking grass, and shows the first badge the game needs before you can.

After the LeagueThese open after you beat Iris. The National Pokédex starts the swarms that bring Plusle, Minun, Sudowoodo, Mr. Mime, Ariados and Ledian, the Skyarrow Bridge gate opens the way to Pinwheel Forest and the Dreamyard, and catching Regirock in the Underground Ruins gives you your version’s Regi key. Beat N at the ruins of his castle and his dragon turns back into a stone: take it to the top of Dragonspiral Tower to catch Zekrom or Reshiram.9 Black 28 White 2

Exclusives against every boss

For each battle, these are the exclusives you can have by then that hit at least half the boss’s team super effectively with one of their own types. Level evolutions count up to the boss’s highest level, trade evolutions don’t, and Levitate is factored in.

How to Trade Between Black 2 and White 2

Pick your version to see only the Pokémon you need to trade for. Until then, both lists show.

How to get White 2 exclusives in Black 2

How to get Black 2 exclusives in White 2

  • Both players need: the C-Gear, which Bianca gives you right after your first badge from Cheren
  • Where: anywhere through the C-Gear, or the Union Room upstairs in any Pokémon Center
  • Connect with: two DS or 3DS systems side by side, over C-Gear infrared or Union Room local wireless

No one with the other version? The GTS, Wi-Fi trades and Random Matchup ran on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which ended on May 20, 2014, so every trade now needs a second system nearby. A friend on Black or White works too: those games trade with Black 2 and White 2 the same way.
