Mr. Mime Best Moveset
Psychic/Fairy TermStab hits a wide offensive range at 100 Sp. Atk and 90 Speed cooldowns. 120 Sp. Def absorbs special attacks, but 40 HP and 65 Defense crumble on physical contact. The moveset is a special-side fighter without Mega access to push beyond base stats.
Psychic-type with 100 Sp. Atk but terrible physical bulk at 65 HP and 65 Defense in Gen I (Red & Blue). Alakazam was faster and hit harder.

Baton Pass made Mr. Mime relevant in Gen II (Gold & Silver). Barrier plus Baton Pass let it send +2 Defense to a sweeper. A support niche nobody else could fill.

Mr. Mime Weakness
Type-wise, Mr. Mime takes extra damage from Poison, Ghost, and Steel. Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Filter reduces SE moves damage, further improving the defensive spread. Mr. Mime's special bulk (base 120 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

| 2x (Weak) | Poison, Ghost, Steel |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Psychic |

Base Stats
The stat bars tell the story: Sp. Def carries everything and HP's dead weight. But this Barrier Pokemon still yields 2 Sp. Def EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its talent is tap-dancing. It can also manipulate temperatures to create a floor of ice, which this Pokémon can kick up to use as a barrier.
Mr. Mime Guide
At 460 BST, Mr. Mime is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Not competitive in its current form.
Mr. Mime's biggest threats include Gengar (Poison), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Scizor (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Mr. Mime gets Technician, Soundproof, and Filter. But Technician is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Technician is the hidden ability. It strengthens moves of 60 base power or less to 1.5× their power. Worth hunting for if you want Mr. Mime to compete at a higher level.
Mr. Mime is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the pivot role.
Game Availability
Available since Red & Blue, Mr Mime appears in 21 games spanning 10 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Galarian form in Generation 8.
