Exeggutor Best Moveset
125 Sp. Atk behind Grass/Psychic TermStab with AbilityHarvest recycling consumed berries 50% of the time (100% under sun). Held ItemCustap Berry activates at low HP for priority, and Harvest can recycle it. The moveset hits hard from the special side. 55 Speed means relying on sun plus AbilityChlorophyll or just trading hits with raw power.
Grass/Psychic with 125 Special was elite in Gen I (Red & Blue). Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, and Psychic gave it incredible versatility.

Trick Room gave Exeggutor a second angle in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). 55 base Speed meant it moved first under Trick Room, and 125 Sp. Atk hit hard.

Harvest plus Sitrus Berry gave it repeated healing in Gen V (Black & White), but the metagame was too fast and powerful. Seven type weaknesses caught up to it.

Base Stats
Sp. Atk and HP carry most of Exeggutor's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Blazing sunlight has brought out the true form and powers of this Pokémon.
Exeggutor Guide
Chlorophyll changes the entire equation for Exeggutor. The 530 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Watch for Pinsir (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Pinsir is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Chlorophyll is what you want on Exeggutor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Harvest) work on paper but Chlorophyll is what makes Exeggutor worth using.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exeggutor is a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Run Psychicnoise, Psychic, Stun Spore, and Leaf Storm on Exeggutor. Psychicnoise is the most common pick at 0% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Since debuting in Red & Blue, Exeggutor has appeared in 20 titles over 10 generations. Along the way, it received an Alolan form in Generation 7, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
