Exeggcute Best Moveset
Grass/Psychic at 60 Sp. Atk and 40 Speed with AbilityChlorophyll doubling Speed under sun. The stats are pre-evolution level and sun doesn't fix the Sp. Atk problem. The moveset needs evolution. Exeggutor at 125 Sp. Atk makes AbilityChlorophyll actually dangerous.
Grass/Psychic pre-evolution with 60 Sp. Atk in Gen I (Red & Blue). Sleep Powder and Stun Spore for status. Psychic typing was dominant.

Exeggcute Weakness
Type-wise, Exeggcute takes extra damage from Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Watch out for Bug attacks, those deal 4x damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Exeggcute's physical bulk (base 80 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Bug |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic |

moderate rates across 2 locations for Exeggcute in late-game routes. Scroll the sorted list below and pick whichever spot sits closest to your current route. The rate differences between locations are worth comparing.
Base Stats
Exeggcute's spread isn't flashy. Defense leads, Attack trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Moderately hard to find and worth 1 Defense EV, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Though it may look like it’s just a bunch of eggs, it’s a proper Pokémon. Exeggcute communicates with others of its kind via telepathy, apparently.
Exeggcute Guide
Exeggcute does the job early-game if you need a Grass/Psychic type on your team. Evolve it into Exeggutor before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Exeggcute has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 20 titles across all 10 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
