Stats & Training
Sp. Atk leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Exeggutor's stat line in a nutshell. 4 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs.
Each of Exeggutor's three heads is thinking different thoughts. The three don't seem to be very interested in one another.
When they work together, Exeggutor's three heads can put out powerful psychic energy. Cloudy days make this Pokémon sluggish.
Exeggutor Weakness
Exeggutor's Grass/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon, and Fairy. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Ground |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass |
In Sword & Shield, Celesteela's Air Slash hits Exeggutor for 77-90%.

Sword & Shield Exeggutor Best Moveset
Harvest isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Sitrus Berry for a one-time health recovery at low HP and max HP and Defense EVs, Exeggutor fills the defensive wall slot reliably. Bold nature finishes the spread.

Exeggutor Guide
For Sword & Shield, we rate Exeggutor C-Tier: a niche pick in Sword & Shield's meta. At 530 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Giga Drain with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Sword & Shield, watch for Cloyster (Ice), Nidoking (Poison), and Dodrio (Flying) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Cloyster is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Bug, Dragon, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Frisk reveals an opponent's held item upon entering battle. That's the one you want on Exeggutor. Harvest is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Exeggutor is a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Sword & Shield, Exeggutor has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
Game Availability
Since debuting in Red & Blue, Exeggutor has appeared in 20 titles over 10 generations. Along the way, it received an Alolan form in Generation 7, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
